The hoops are a LOT smaller than they appear in the photo. The product photo made me think it was thicker and bigger than it is. These are actually really quite tiny and are true huggies in that they leave little to no space between your ear and the earring (at least in my case). Regardless, they are cute and dainty. But if you want that bold look, I would definitely size up to the small at least. This one is VERY dainty and minimal looking.
